Honestly, I didn't try to finish mine up. I thought we were to try to finish them on site if we could on Thursday. I did take pictures so I can work on them from those, but, they won't be ready for in the morning.
I loved going to Cave Hill. Sometime in the future I would love to go up there and create a whole sketchbook of studies of the monuments and tombstones, they were amazing.Though I am kinda glad that I wont have to fight with the Louisville traffic tomorrow morning!
Tiffany, bring what you've got, we'll work with them.
Connie, bring what you have at the state they're in.
Tatum, we'll be drawing landscapes.
Ahsely, that's a great idea. I've done many shoots in Cave Hill over the past several years. It's rich in image ideas. The l'ville traffic is another story, you should try to 4:00-6:00 congestion, it's the worst.
I've really enjoyed going to Cave Hill for class. There are so many different beautiful landscapes to capture. It's been fun just driving through the entire cemetery getting lost. I love how quiet and peaceful it is there. I didn't fully get done with my 2nd drawing so hopefully we'll get to go back next week and continue.
The cave hill experience was awesome. I've always wanted to go there and do some creative photography work, but drawing there was great as well. It was so peaceful and relaxing, the only problem I had was picking something that I wanted to draw, because there were just so many beautiful things to choose from.
Images and Ideasis intended to provide a creative and educational arena for sharing and discussing traditions, theoretical concepts, and the technical skills that form a solid foundation for continued development in drawing, as well as in other creative disciplines. It is my hope and intent that this site will encourage my Students and the Drawing Community, from beginning to advanced, to engage in and expand their creative educations and further develop their critical thinking skills that are essential to the art and process of drawing. We all have very different perspectives of the worlds around and within us, and through our creative works we can teach each other and further extend the vast knowledge that is a result of this centuries-old expressive discipline.
